A construction courier moves the things a site cannot wait a day for: the fixings that ran out at 10am, the plant part the hire company has in stock across town, the drawings that must be on site for the inspector, the tool left in the yard. One driver, one van, collected within the hour, driven direct to the gate, and signed for by the site manager or the person named on the job.

Construction delivery by dedicated van is for the items that stop a trade working when they are missing:
Building materials delivery by van suits the quantities a merchant’s lorry is too big for and a parcel service will not take: a few bags, a few lengths, a pallet of blocks, a roll of membrane, a door set. The driver collects from the merchant with your account reference, checks the ticket, and delivers to the gate, compound or floor the site manager specifies. For anything beyond a Luton van, HGV loads are quoted separately.

Site deliveries follow the site’s traffic management plan: delivery hours, booking-in, PPE at the gate and where vehicles may stop. In London, many sites require vehicles to meet the Direct Vision Standard and the CLOCS standard applies to larger construction vehicles; our vans are below the HGV thresholds those schemes cover. The driver wears PPE at the gate and hands over to the named person against a signature.

The same rate as every job: £40 for the first 10 miles then £1.25 per mile in a car or small van, or £60 then £1.80 per mile in a long wheelbase or Luton van for lengths, boards and pallets, plus VAT, from merchant to site. A 12-mile fixings run in a small van is £42.50 plus VAT.
Yes. Give us the branch, your account name and the order number, and the driver quotes it at the trade counter, checks the ticket against what was ordered, loads and secures it, and signs for it. If something is missing or wrong, the driver phones you from the counter before leaving.
The driver is at the supplier within 30 to 45 minutes of booking across London and the Home Counties, or within the hour elsewhere, and goes straight to the site. Across London that usually means the part is at the gate within two to three hours of the call. Tell us the deadline when you call 020 8202 2008.
Yes. Tell us the site’s delivery window, booking-in procedure and PPE requirements when you book, and the driver arrives inside the window, books in at the gate and hands over to the named person. Early-morning deliveries before the site opens can be run overnight at the same rate.
Up to a Luton van: lengths of timber and conduit, door sets, boards, bags, rolls, and pallets of blocks or bags within the van’s payload. Tell us the weight and the longest piece when you book. Anything beyond a Luton van, such as full merchant loads, is moved by HGV and quoted separately.
Yes. Drawings, permits, method statements and inspection documents travel sealed in a dedicated vehicle and are handed only to the named person on site or in the office, against a signature and a photo. The proof of delivery is texted to you so the office knows the inspector has what they need.
