Next Day Courier

Need a next day courier? First Choice Transportation Ltd collects today and delivers tomorrow by a time agreed with you, anywhere in mainland UK, in a dedicated van from Southgate, London N14. Cars and vans from £40 for the first 10 miles then £1.25 a mile. Book 24 hours a day on 020 8202 2008.

Next Day Courier Service

Our next day courier service is for goods that do not have to move this minute but must be there tomorrow: a delivery booked for a specific morning, stock for a shop opening, equipment for a site that starts at 8am, documents that must be on a desk before a meeting.

The goods travel in a dedicated vehicle, collected from your address and driven direct to the delivery address. Nothing goes through a depot and nothing is mixed with other customers’ loads.

VehicleFirst 10 milesEach mile afterTypical load
Car or small van (up to SWB)£40£1.25Documents, parcels, boxes
Long wheelbase van£60£1.80Furniture, several pallets, long items

All prices are plus VAT. Full rate card: courier prices. Need it today instead? See same day courier.

Next Day Delivery Courier

Booking a next day delivery courier a day ahead gives us time to plan the vehicle and the route, which matters most on long runs. For London to Scotland, the North East or the far South West, the driver sets off the evening before or early the same morning so the van arrives at the time you need.

Overnight running has its own page: overnight courier.

Next Day Delivery UK

Next day delivery covers any mainland UK address from our base in Southgate, North London: London and the Home Counties, the Midlands, the North, Wales and Scotland. See the areas we cover on the courier service UK page.

Typical next day jobs:

  • Stock and samples between a London office and a regional branch or customer
  • Exhibition stands, kit and printed materials to a venue the day before an event
  • Furniture and large items that would otherwise wait a week for a pallet network (see large item courier)
  • Parts and equipment to a site, workshop or hospital for the next morning

Timed Delivery

Timed delivery means the goods arrive at an agreed time rather than “sometime tomorrow”: before 9am, before noon, or at a specific hour when someone is there to receive them.

Tell us the deadline when you book and we plan backwards from it. We only commit to a time we can keep, and we confirm it with you before the job is booked.

How We Work

  1. You call or message. Phone 020 8202 2008 or WhatsApp 07507 612919, any time, with the two postcodes, what you are sending and the time it must arrive.
  2. We quote and plan. You get the price, the vehicle and the collection time before anything is booked.
  3. A driver collects. Today, or first thing tomorrow, as agreed. The goods are loaded at your address and the van leaves for the delivery address.
  4. Delivered on time, with proof of delivery. One job per driver: direct, no depot, no transfer, at the time agreed. The van is GPS tracked throughout and our operators phone you with updates on the way. The driver checks labels and quantities at collection, then takes a signature and a photo at the other end and texts you the proof of delivery.

Next Day Courier FAQ

How much does a next day courier cost?

The same as our same day service, because it is the same dedicated vehicle: £40 for the first 10 miles then £1.25 per mile in a car or small van, or £60 for the first 10 miles then £1.80 per mile in a long wheelbase or Luton van, plus VAT. You get the exact price before you book.

What is the difference between next day and same day?

Timing, not the service. Same day means collected and delivered within the same day. Next day means collected today, or first thing tomorrow, and delivered tomorrow by a time agreed with you. Both travel in a dedicated van direct from collection to delivery with no depot in between.

Can you deliver before 9am tomorrow?

Yes. Tell us the time the goods must be there and we plan the collection and the journey around it, including overnight driving for long distances. Early morning delivery is agreed job by job when you call 020 8202 2008, so we only commit to a time we can keep.

Do you do next day delivery across the whole of the UK?

Yes, to any mainland UK address, from our base in Southgate, North London. Long journeys such as London to Scotland are planned so the van arrives at the agreed time; the driver either sets off the evening before or early the same morning, depending on the distance and your deadline.

Is a next day courier the same as a next day parcel service?

No. A next day parcel service puts your box through depots and sorting hubs with thousands of others. Our next day courier is a dedicated van: one driver, your goods only, collected from your address and handed over at the delivery address. That is why it suits large, fragile and valuable items.

How do I book a next day courier?

Message WhatsApp 07507 612919 or call 020 8202 2008 with the collection postcode, the delivery postcode, what you are sending with rough size and weight, and the time it must arrive. We reply with the price and the plan, and nothing is booked until you confirm.
