Some do. Parcel networks mostly deliver Monday to Friday, with Saturday and sometimes Sunday rounds in some areas, usually for retailers’ online orders. Same day couriers work every day, so a weekend collection and delivery is always possible with one. First Choice Transportation Ltd works 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including bank holidays.

Some couriers deliver on Sunday, but it depends on the type of courier and on whether you are sending or receiving:
Carriers change their weekend services often, so check with the carrier rather than relying on what was true last year.
Saturday is more widely covered than Sunday. Many networks deliver on Saturdays as standard or as a paid option, especially for online orders, and some will collect on Saturdays. Business-to-business deliveries are a different matter: plenty of offices and warehouses are shut at the weekend, so a Saturday delivery may not be possible even if the courier runs one.
Before booking a weekend delivery to a business, check that someone will be there to receive it and sign for it.
To send something on a Sunday, the reliable option is a same day courier: one van collects your item and drives it straight to the recipient, on the day, without waiting for a network’s working week. It suits:
We collect within 30 to 45 minutes across London and the Home Counties and within the hour elsewhere, at the same rate every day: see our weekend courier service, and our same day courier, urgent courier and overnight courier services.

Yes. Some parcel networks deliver on Sundays in some areas, mostly for online orders from large retailers, and dedicated same day couriers work every day. If you need to send something on a Sunday, rather than receive an order, a same day courier is usually the only way to have it collected and delivered that day.
Many do. Network drivers may work Sunday rounds where their company runs them, and same day courier drivers work whenever there is a job. At First Choice Transportation two operators answer the phones 24 hours a day and our 30 drivers across the UK take jobs seven days a week.
Usually, yes. “Out for delivery” means the parcel is on the van for today’s round. It can still slip to the next delivery day if the round runs late, the van breaks down or nobody is in, and on a Saturday or Sunday the next day may be Monday.
Most parcel networks do not deliver on bank holidays, or run a reduced service, so parcels move to the next working day. Dedicated couriers that work 24/7 still run. First Choice Transportation works every bank holiday, 24 hours a day, at the same rate as any other day.
Often. Networks may charge more for a Saturday or Sunday delivery option, and some same day couriers add a weekend surcharge. First Choice Transportation charges the same on Saturday, Sunday and bank holidays as on a weekday: £40 for the first 10 miles then £1.25 a mile in a car or small van, plus VAT.
